Workshops and retreats
Mathias creates workshops and retreats with artists and other collaborators. He has worked with Heilung drummer Nicholas Schipper (Ecuador/Mexico), and First Nations dancers Nizhoni Ellenwood (Nimiipuu) and Rhyia JoyHeart (Northern Arapahoe), and Heilung drummer Jacob Hee Lund (Denmark) and tattoo artist Jacqui Alberts (USA) to create workshops and retreats in Colorado, Alabama, and Vermont.

Creative and spiritual
Mathias creates art and immersive spiritual experiences, and he consults authors and artists on various projects. He has worked with musicians such as Heilung, Wardruna, and Eivør, and consulted authors writing fictions about the Viking Age.
He is currently working with Steve von Till of the band Neurosis on a multimedia performance of the Old Norse poem Völuspá, which combines poetic recitation, musical performance, and educational commentary.
The project is called Völuspá: Visions of kinship with the more than human cosmos. A reading of the Old Norse poem layered with musical performance and educational commentary. The project is set to be performed for the first time at the music festival Cascadian Midsummer in Washington in June 2024. Find tickets by clicking the link below.
